For our client, a leading multinational company in the Food, Cosmetic, Pharma and Detergent sector, we are currently looking for a motivated
Logistics Expert
for their Sofia office (Tsarigradsko Shose). The Logistics Expert will liaise with clients and the suppliers to ensure that client orders are fulfilled on time, in full and with the correct documentation and maintain the relationships with the clients.
Main responsibilities:
- organizing shipments (within Bulgaria, the EU and occasionally outside the EU)
- coordinating drivers, vehicles, loads and journeys
- working with documents for import and export
- operating IT systems
- negotiating and agreeing contracts
- developing and confirming schedules
- planning for and negotiating technical difficulties
- preparing paperwork for regulatory bodies
- mostly office job, but very rare it may be necessary to drive from the office to the warehouse (in Sofia) and back to the office
- implementing health and safety standards
Required skills:
- at least 2 years experience in logistics, transport or related field
- experience with documents for import and export - mandatory
- professional and/or academic background in logistics or relevant field is a plus
- experience with organizing shipments and with work or communication with warehouse
- team-working, organizational and interpersonal skills
- experience with customs or with custom agents
- logical reasoning & numeracy skills
- excellent computer skills
- stress resistant
- English language (B1/B2)
- ability to plan ahead and deal with unexpected changes
- driving license B - active driver
