Join our talented team as Regional Medical Adviser Diabetes East Bulgaria (based in Plovdiv, Varna, Stara Zagora, Burgas or alternatively in Sofia).
The position is a maternity cover for a fixed term period of 16 months (maternity cover–full time position).

As a Regional Medical Advisor for Diabetes, you will be responsible for local implementation of Novo Nordisk’s medical strategy in Bulgaria and preparation and implementation of pre-launch, launch and post-launch Medical Affairs activities. You will report to CMR Director Bulgaria.

Your responsibilities will include:


  • Regular visits to key external stakeholders in East Bulgaria territory as per agreed visit plan (Expected travelling to Varna, Burgas, Stara Zagora, Plovdiv; time split: 60% field, 40% office-based responsibilities).

  • Medical Information Service–you will reply to medical questions from both internal and external customers and exchange of NN medical information with all relevant internal stakeholders.

  • Preparation of scientific program and presentations for Novo Nordisk events (design and strong collaboration with speakers) and medical check of brochures and other promotional materials and ensuring compliance with medical facts and sources.

  • Active collaboration and support to Medical Representatives in assigned territory related to medical inquiries.

  • Acting in line with ethical standards, company procedures and Novo Nordisk Way.



As a Regional Medical Advisor for Diabetes, you should hold Bachelor’s degree or a Master’s degree in Medicine or Pharmacy. Experience in Medical Affairs function in pharma industry and in endocrinology (post-graduate specialization, PhD, volunteering in Endocrinology Clinics, etc.) will be considered as an advantage. Fluency in English and Bulgarian is an absolute must.

  • Excellent communication skills, relationship management, high energy level and internal drive.

  • Creativity, innovation and readiness to explore new approaches.

  • Willingness to actively travel and visit external customers (you should be an active driver)
