Responsibilities
• Organize, coordinate and control activities to ensure occupational health and safety in full compliance with the requirements of the regulations and rules as well as the policies of DS Smith Bulgaria S.A.
• Ensures adequate records are maintained on Health and Safety matters to comply with legal requirements
• Identifies Health and Safety training needs, participates and organizes staff trainings
• Participates in the development of internal rules to ensure occupational health and safety and monitors their implementation
• Organizes and participates in the conduct of the company's induction and periodic occupational safety briefings, internal monitoring and H&S audits
• Participates in internal regional and sub-regional health and safety meetings to report monthly H&S observations and improvements, fully in English
Requirements
• Knowledge and previous experience in manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated experience in the implementation and evaluation of management systems and policies relevant to HS&E legislation, best practise and standards
• Hand on approach to work
• Higher education
• Excellent command of written and spoken English
• Excellent computer literacy, working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Teamwork skills, communicative, initiative, decision making ability
• Willingness to travel
• Full understanding of health and safety regulations, specific workplace risks, health and safety management systems as per Bulgarian legislation
