Finance Specialist

Job Description:
Alcatraz is looking for a Finance Specialist to join the Sofia team!
This position is responsible for transacting orders, invoices and expenses, computing the metrics with which we measure the business, and for compiling the periodic reports which we use to report out internally and externally.
Responsibilities:
- Order to Cash & Revenue Accounting
- Review & accept received Purchase Orders, confirm Dealer is signed, confirm pricing and/or discount, match to quotation, promote to Closed Won in HubSpot, ensure necessary deal parameters are all correctly implemented
- Create and issue invoices in QuickBooks, follow-up on overdue invoices
- Follow-up with Dealers to ensure we have their reseller certificates
- Implement our revenue recognition / deferred revenue / COGS amortization rules
- Calculate the Sales Incentive on a monthly basis, drive review and approval, and ensure it is paid out monthly
- Compute and issue monthly report
Expense Accounting:
- Using Ramp, ensure every expense transaction is properly coded before syncing to QuickBooks; follow-up with employees who are delinquent in attaching receipts or adding memos
- Using QuickBooks, process Purchase Order requests and ensure invoices are matched to Purchase Orders. Alert when Purchase Order funds are depleted. Close old Purchase Orders.
- Enforce our policy to pay using a Ramp card if possible and if fees are not incurred, otherwise process payments by ACH using Ramp or Bill com
- Periodically review all transactions to ensure correct account and class coding
Reporting:
- Compile the weekly, monthly and quarterly metrics and financial summaries.
Finance Support
- Provide accounts receivable support to our Partners, accounts payable support to our Vendors, and purchasing / expense support to Alcatraz employees.
- Assist Alcatraz employees and managers with Ramp purchases and reimbursements
Experience:
You will have:
- Minimum of Associate’s Degree in Accounting.
- Minimum three year’s hands-on work experience in bookkeeping and accounting.
- Computer proficiency is essential - familiarity with Mac & Windows operating systems.
- Experience with accounting platform / software is essential
