The DXC Azure Cloud Engineer focuses on operating and maintaining the cloud environments of DXC customers as per the environment design and contractual agreements. The main goals are to deliver agile and secure managed services on cloud platforms, to continuously increase the level of automation and security, to ensure high availability of the service, and to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support the operations of high performing cloud-based infrastructures
- Take full ownership of incoming requests and issues and drive them to resolution
- Proactively and continuously improve the service through: scripting and automations, monitoring metrics improvement, environment and configuration adjustments
- Leverage automation and Infrastructure as Code tools to maintain environment and execute changes
- Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis for Service Incidents
- Understand and contribute to processes and tools improvement used by the team
- Monitor environments for security vulnerabilities and take actions to remediate and/or mitigate risks
Requirements:
- Bachelor in Science Technical degree required; Master in Computer Science (or similar technical background) preferred
- Five or more years of experience in system administration, engineering or applicable areas where infrastructure management is the focus (system administrator, system engineer, DevOps, etc.)
- Good knowledge and/ or practical experience with Microsoft Azure
- Good understanding of Data center infrastructure, Virtualization, Networks, Storage, Backup, OS system and application level architectures.
- Working experience of at least one of the following languages: PowerShell, VB Script, Bash, Python or C#.
- Working experience of infrastructure automation technologies like Ansible, Chef, Jenkins, Puppet, Terraform , etc. is considered as advantage
- Able to discuss (within own area of expertise) requirements with a customer, and to challenge and clarify when appropriate. From the requirements, able to develop a high level design or plan, and then estimate the amount of effort required to deliver
- Fluency in English.

- Well organized and self-driven person
Certifications:
- Certified Azure Administrator or Azure Cloud Architect Certification are considered as advantage
- Nice to have: DevOps certification, Kubernetes, RedHat OpenShift, Networking, Security Cloud Certifications
