About the role

We are looking for a motivated Engineer to join our Trading Operations team to strengthen our highly skilled and international team. We look forward to welcoming an inventive person, who has a solution-oriented attitude and is driven by the desire to build great products. The position is offered in both Amsterdam & Sofia offices.


What you will be responsible for:

• Optimize, improve, and support existing algorithms and systems to reach the goal of highly automated robust systems with full test coverage requiring minimal operational oversight.


• Taking delivery responsibility for some of our key development projects and enhancements.


• Creating scalable processes in Bash and Python that enhance our core financial systems.


• Co-owner of the code base, suggesting and implementing ways to improve it.


• Cooperating closely with all stakeholders to ensure scope is understood, design is sound and deadlines met.


• Reviewing design and code produced by your colleagues.


• Create independent automated risk controls and checks to ensure that systems are performing as expected and catch potential errors as soon as possible.


• High level of comfort in an environment of continuous integration and deployment. Familiarity with distributed version control systems, especially Git.


• Ability to develop, implement and optimize stored procedures and functions using SQL

We are looking for you if you have:

• 1+ years of experience.


• Working knowledge with Excel and SQL.


• Experience with Unix / Linux style command line interfaces


• Good understanding of financial markets and financial products 


• A strong attention to detail and systematic approach to problem solving


• Flexibility to work a rotating shift schedule (including on-call) as needs dictate
