We are currently looking for a Bid Writer / Lead for Tender Submissions to join our team.

Technical Bid Writer / Lead for Tender Submissions

Our ideal candidate has interest and experience in technical bid writing and bid management. Strong writing skills, attention to detail and adherence to high-quality standards is the essence of the role, but you may be also involved in the whole tender submission process, as well as in coaching and leading other team members.

Primary responsibility of the role is collating, writing and producing high-quality documentation for participation in new tenders and enhancing the company reputation as a partner of choice and effective business contractor. You will be responsible for coordinating the tender submissions according to requirements and within deadline, as well as for identifying ways to improve the quality and consistency of submitted proposals.

You will work closely with the Director for Business Development and other key stakeholders / subject-matter experts to ensure the continuous improvement in the area of tender submissions, establishment of effective partnerships and business development processes.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

Compile, write, edit and review clear, purpose-driven and coherent tender documents, ensuring consistency in design, style and content

Take ownership for defining the structure of tender proposals and be responsible for the content writing

Ensure the preparation of supporting documentation, e.g. case studies, reference letters and CVs

Contribute to the preparation and update of project, bid and deliverables plans for new tender opportunities and oversee adherence to plan and key milestones

Ensure that tender proposals delineate feasible solutions to meet critical client/beneficiary needs, are tailored according to requirements and submitted within deadline

Build effective working relationships with managers, operational specialists, subject matter experts and other stakeholders and engage with them with the purpose of delivering all-round, comprehensive tender proposals offering in-depth analysis and solutions that tackle an issue from all needed perspectives

Ensure tender submissions adhere to standards of high-quality and professionalism, and contribute to the continual improvement of the company’s bid offers overall presentation, to ensure best in class submissions

Required skills and experience:

Minimum three years of experience in producing comprehensive written documents, reports and tender proposals

Excellent English language skills, verbal and in writing, including clear style, rich vocabulary, impeccable spelling and grammar as well as strong attention to detail

Project management experience in organizing and leading tender preparations and submissions according to requirements would be considered an advantage

Experience liaising and working with national or sub-national/international public institutions such as the European Commission, other EU financing bodies, the World Bank, the EBRD or similar would be an advantage
