Supply Chain Business Analyst

Duties and Responsibilities
Define business problems via in-depth investigation and gathering of technical and non-technical information. Once the issue is clearly understood, provide outline detailed requirements for a solution and ensure the delivered solution meets those business requirements.
Support Supply Chain Management (SCM) digital transformation strategies and delivery for data, platforms, modelling, reporting and automation, that provides operative strategic insights for Supply Chain business management decisions such that continuous value across the Supply Chain and its operations is achieved to make better, faster decisions that result in function progression and effectiveness.
Undertake strategic and transactional analysis, support benchmarking activities, review ways of working, support delivery programs to drive innovation, improvements, and simplification across SCM reporting tools and processes.
Prioritise SCM data management and digital innovation programmes within Project Delivery, assisting and supporting SCM Regional lines of business and SCM Tools.
Act as an interface between SCM and Digital Teams, successfully embedding digital and technology innovations into processes, such as predictive and prescriptive analytics, to monitor and improve SCM operational performance. Support, drive, monitor and improve the implementation of logistics modelling across Regions and Projects.
Help drive data and analytics into the centre of the SCM’s digital transformation strategy to allow SCM to take advantage of big data. Support the leveraging of AI-based technologies to tap into the potential of big data.

- Improvements:
- Gathering, validating, and documenting supply chain business requirements using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Identify, evaluate and implement tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Power BI, Tableau) to support data validation, cleansing and analysis of supply chain spend and supplier data - not only is there the need to understand the data, but be able to provide insight and analysis through clear visual, written and verbal communication.
- Modelling business processes and identifying opportunities for process improvements
Identifying issues, risks and benefits of existing and proposed solutions and outlining business impacts.
- Implementing functional specifications and testing for solutions.
- Estimating costs and identifying business savings.
- Simplifying information and deciphering technical jargon so it is easily understood by the whole team.

EDUCATION
- Degree in Business, Commercial Management, Engineering or Law
- Other qualifications in a related Procurement discipline.

PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE
- Five Years minimum working experience as a Business Analyst after leaving full-time study.
- Excellent mathematical and numeracy skills, strong data analytics, management, transformation and modelling skills
- Intermediate understanding of databases such as SQL Server, Oracle and SAP
- Understanding of reporting & data visualization tools such as Business Objects, PowerBI and Tableau
- Strong desire for continuous learning through hands-on prototyping and experimentation
- Proven data products development capability & analytics experience
- Experience with working across business and IT teams
- Understanding of general digital transformation solutions, especially in the areas of data management, data science and business automation
- Familiar with agile methodology and experience working within agile teams and projects
- Interest in new technology, willing to broaden knowledge of the wider tech industry
