Senior Financial Analyst (Solar)

In Bulgaria the company operates and is a majority shareholder of the second largest thermal power plant in the country – ContourGlobal Maritsa East 3 TPP, a 908 MW Lignite fired power plant located in Mednikarovo, Stara Zagora region. In the years 2004-2009 the Power Plant underwent a EUR 650 million refurbishment which made it the modern and environmentally compliant plant in the whole of SE Europe. 

JOB SUMMARY

Working within the European Solar team, the Senior Finance Analyst will support ContourGlobal with financial planning and analysis for Italy, Slovakia and Romania PV assets. Amongst other responsibilities, she/he will support the preparation of the annual budget  and quarterly financial forecasts, inputing them into the relevant reporting systems. He/she will support the preparation of the monthly and quarterly business reviews, performing relevant analysis on request. The Senior Finance Analyst supports the Finance Manager, Italy with the preparation of documentation and presentation for internal and external stakeholders as well as key interface with PO processors while deploying the budget operationally 

This role will require collaboration with finance managers, asset managers, FP&A and solar accounting team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support the preparation  of the annual  budget and quarterly forecasts and input  them into the  system as well prepare draft presentation to the management team


• Preparare the monthly and quarterly business review, which includes preparation of financial information and KPIs and involves close coordination with the operations team


• Prepare and regularly update  Cash Flow Forecast for all operating entities


• Provide financial analysis on request


• Support the Finance Manager in preparing relevant reporting to lenders and shareholders


• Support the Finance Manager in computing  covenants ratio  as per financial facilities agreements and/or all other debt compliance requirements (i.e. compliance certificate, model review and update, operational reports..)


• Support the preparation of materials and analysis for extraordinary transactions


• Other ad hoc projects

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Economics, Finance, Business or related field


• 2+ years of experience in Financial Modelling and/or Financial Planning & Analysis


• Fluent English


• Interest in taking on significant responsibilities in a fast-paced work environment


• Excellent analytical skills


• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word


• Attention to detail


• Clear interest in energy, power and infrastructure sectors


• Ability to work in an international environment


• Superior communication skills


• Willingness and interest in travel

International travel: upon business needs

This position reports hierarchically to the Finance Manager, Italy.
