Senior Capitalization Analyst

Essential Duties:

• Ensure that the capitalization process is compliant with IAS 38, Intangible assets;


• Develops an understanding of the Company's capitalization policies while performing the duties of the position


• Preparation of accounting assessments to demonstrate that the internally generated intangible assets meet all capitalization criteria;


• Review and assess the developers` roles and efforts to assess on the correct accounting treatment, considering the different stages of the development process;


• Responsible for the monthly calculation and reporting of the capitalisation, following the established process;


• Perform monthly reconciliations of capitalisation calculation to the postings in the accounting software.


• Ensure that the implemented SOX controls regarding the capitalisation process are followed;


• Provide information and support the external audit process regarding the capitalisation;


• Assist in meeting external and internal reporting deadlines whilst maintaining the integrity of information;


• Review, assess and recommend improvements to capitalisation policy and procedures ensuring appropriate documentation is in place;


• Participation in the budgeting process, actual vs budget analysis and explanation of the deviations


• Participate and/or lead finance projects for system improvements, reporting optimization and other ad-hoc initiatives

Your Profile:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.


• Part-qualified ACCA or equivalent


• At least 3 years’ experience in an audit or commercial environment


• Excellent advanced Excel skills


• Fluent English is essential


• Strong IFRS knowledge


• Can-do positive mindset


• Hands-on, proactive, takes initiative in problems solving and is able to work under pressure and meet deadlines


• Close attention to detail and an independent manner of working is essential


• An excellent team player with the ability to build strong relationships, working across functions and with teams around the Globe.


• Ability to understand end to end processes, identify improvement & simplification opportunities and design and implement standardized solutions.
