Senior Buyer

For one of our clients in the FMCG sector with large-scale production plant in Bulgaria and well-respected leading position in their field on the market, we are currently looking for a proven professional in the purchasing and procurement with strong experience and successful track record, motivated to take over the challenging role of:
Senior Buyer
Essential responsibilities for the role:
• Negotiate contracts for raw materials packaging and equipment, in order to ensure best possible terms, quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery, according to the production needs
• Manage supplier relationships, ongoing supplier evaluation activities and programs
• Manage supply chain risk of the raw materials
• Develop, communicate and maintain centralized policies and procedures related to the procurement of goods and services to ensure best practices
• Participate in optimizing purchasing and inventory management systems and related processes
• Prepare purchase orders by verifying specifications and price, review purchase requisition and work closely with other departments to analyze the needs and optimize the delivery cost
• Monitor delivery and payment terms according the agreements with suppliers
• Monitor market trends and competitors’ development and strategy and propose ideas for improvements and optimization of processes, when possible
Key requirements:
• University degree
• At least 5 years of experience in purchasing role from a production company regarding the manufacturing and raw materials
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills and ability to influence and lead others
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to work effectively under pressure within strict deadlines
• Business pro-active and initiative, as well as precise, organized and focused professional;
• Able to multitask and work within deadlines;
• Advanced MS Office skills and SAP or other ERP system knowledge;
• Very good English language skills
