Regional Project Manager Utilities

As a Regional Project Manager Utilities, you are responsible for the translation of the concept of our factory to technical design according to country rules (Environment, Building, local regulations…), lead the tender of the Utilities towards contractors & support the contract phase of our client for new buildings and extensions of the existing building. You are tracking all leaders of the project making sure each member of the team is delivering the right information with the right quality on time. You are responsible for the success of the project keeping aligned with the budget.
Description of tasks:
• In case of studying and/or purchasing building plots or buildings:
- Verification of available technical connection facilities and technical specifications
- General evaluation of the plot in the region and give a technical comment about the potential acquisition
• Participate in the build-up of the concept designs for buildings & technics:
-Support the project manager Building to choose the proper design office
- Support the project manager Building and Equipment to integrate the production line equipment’s into buildings according to CE codes, local and European standards, the customers Quality and safety rules
- Contact production line equipment’s suppliers to get technical data for connections points
- Define the matrix of consumption for each technic and estimate the proper size of all technical equipment (capacity, brand, etc.)
- Support the Project manager Building to define the size of the technical rooms, optimization of layouts, creation of added value
- Support the team to collect data’s during the process of Environmental & building permit
• Verify and check the documentation received from the design office for permitting (Urban, Building) and tendering (Bill of quantities, technical material description, production and execution drawings…
• Support the Project manager Building during the tender procedures:
- Organizing competitions
- Negotiations
- Preparing technical and price comparisons
- Advice for selecting contractors
• Follow the schedule of the project: deliver on time the information’s requested.
• Support the project manager during the execution of the project to make sure of the proper quality execution and application towards the signed contract
Profile:
• You hold a master’s degree in industrial engineering
• You have expertise in major technics (Electrical, High Voltage, and Low Voltage) is a must
• You have experience of a minimum of 5 years in this function
• You have solid experience as a Project Manager coordinating different disciplines (Building, production equipment, utilities)
• You have a real interest in industrial production and storage buildings and related technics
• AutoCAD 2D/3D, Revit, and Navisworks have no secrets for you.
• You are practical with a pragmatic approach, hands-on mentality
• You are an organized person
• You work precisely and you have an eye for details
• You are eager to learn, and you have an open mind
• You have important communication skills, and you like to work in a team
• Empathy is an important value for you
• You are resistant to stress, perseverant, and results-oriented with respect to the imposed deadlines
• You report everything precisely to your employer/customer
• Knowledge of English is a must; other languages are an asset
• You are ready to travel (during the week) in Europe (25% of the time) – the main destinations are in Central and Eastern Europe
