.NET Software Developer
Summary of Primary Role:
As a .NET Software Developer, you’ll become a part of our Product Engineering team. The team is responsible for developing applications, tools and interfaces that works with Time Series data – a collection of observations obtained through repeated measurements over time, i.e. GDP, inflation rates, market prices, statistical data, etc. The developed applications are providing the tools to view, manipulate and plot that data, using different platforms. As part of the team, you will participate in the development and testing of various customer faced applications that works with time series: Office addins, desktop applications, web applications, APIs and integration solutions.
You shall be able to participate in the design and architecture of the future versions and software products developed, support the legacy ones, and get involved in the research and prototyping of the new product enhancements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and modify existing applications and Office add-ins written in .NET 3.5, 4.6, 6.0, C#, JavaScript, and MySQL (AWS Aurora)
- Work on web-based applications written in .NET Core
- Work on integration projects with external platforms like R, EViews, and MathLab
- Facilitate entire development life cycle including analysis, design, testing and implementation
- Research and troubleshoot problems
- Work with the local and overseas team to establish and deliver on time
- Create, maintain, and develop documentation in English
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience as a software developer with C# and/or VB.NET.
- Experience with relational databases
- Good knowledge of software design patterns and development life-cycle best practices
- Very good knowledge of English
Considered is a strong plus having experience with:
- Microsoft Office related applications and add-ins
- Amazon AWS services
- Test driven development
- Linux scripting and administration
- Node.js, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
- Search engines like Elasticsearch or Apache Solr
- NoSQL databases like MongoDB
