Mid to Senior DevOps Engineer

Their own developed platform empowers organizations to effectively manage sensitive information transfer while delivering information security solutions to more than 35 million end users. The person we will hire at the DevOps Engineer position will be responsible for automating the development, testing, and integration of software releases, is based in Sofia and works together with an international team of experienced engineers.

Responsibilities

• Put into place continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) processes and tools to enable the agile team to deliver quality software based on user feedback


• Develop scripts to automate build, software release, application deployment, and system and application management


• Collaborate with team members to improve the company's engineering tools, systems and procedures, and data security


• Prepare and maintain technical documentation


• Apply cloud (AWS, Azure) and on-premises (VMware) computing skills to deploy upgrades and fixes


• Implement development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure


• Security-and-compliance-minded in each and every stage of product release


• Prepare and maintain technical documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, computer engineering, IT-related fields, or a related, technical discipline


• 3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in an equivalent software engineering role


• Strong Linux skills


• Well-versed in one of the scripting languages – Shell, Python, Ruby, etc.


• Well-versed in JSON, XML, and YAML


• Knowledgeable about setting up DevOps tools, such as Git, GitLab, Jenkins, Bamboo, Docker, etc.


• Good knowledge of the VMware, Amazon, and Azure platforms


• Good knowledge of web servers (Apache and Nginx) and database servers (SQL and NoSQL)


• Troubleshooting, problem solving, root cause analysis, and documentation skills


• Knowledge of technology or products on AWS and Azure, such as Elastic Beanstalk, Azure Marketplace, EFS, etc.


• Understand networking protocols and services, such as SFTP, SMTP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, etc. Routing will be an added advantage.


• Passionate about championing the team to continuously improve to automate and deliver high-quality software products


• Meticulous team player with good analytical and writing skills


• Experience with Agile methodologies and collaboration tools, such as JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Teams, etc.


• Good to have knowledge of static analysis and testing tools, such as JUnit, Pylint, PyTest, etc.


• Any DevOps professional certifications will be a plus

The hiring process

After submitting your resumе you will be invited to a one-hour remote personality interview via Microsoft Teams, followed by a technical interview.

The technical interview takes place in our office, which will give you the opportunity to get to know the employees already working at the company. It comprises of questions and a practical task. You will be given a mentor if you have any questions. Once you have successfully completed this process, we can give you feedback within 2 business days. If both parts agree on the terms, we will gladly make you an offer.
