Job Description


The MDM Administrator (Informatica) manages all Informatica MDM environments, including but not limited to configurations, user access, MDM HUB, Hierarchy Manager, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, patching, administration, performance tuning, upgrading of the MDM environment. He or she will define, develop and document standardized monitoring procedures for data integration processes and applies necessary configuration changes. The MDM Administrator is responsible for reliability and performance of the Informatica MDM software.

Main missions will be the following:

- Installs and configures the Informatica MDM software suiteq as well as connectors between MDM and systems and azure data platform.
- Coordinates, plans and executes activities related to platform maintenance, disaster recovery and software release management.
- Configures Informatica components and assists infrastructure team on installation, upgrades and hotfix patches. Performs capacity and stability monitoring.
- Responsible for the MDM application health and server metrics collection and reporting.
- Maintains integration of Power Center and MDM real-time call with Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) Web services.
- Ensures integration of MDM with JDE source systems, Azure SQL databases and other SSAS based solutions
- Responsible for the configuration of the MDM High Availability multi-nodes architecture, failover and recovery functionality.
- Configures user authentication with LDAP integration of the MDM application using Active Directory, as well as Application load balancing (URLs).
- Conducts performance tuning on the MDM application servers and configurations for optimal performance.
- Assists with MDM code migrations and cutovers during releases and go-lives.
- Contributes to definition, review, documentation and communication of standards and best practices.
- On a daily basis, creates user accounts, ETL integrations/implementations/migrations, schedules and monitors jobs, performs root cause analysis for job failures and missed data loads, and provides server and database administrators with support for performance tuning.
- Acts as a primary point of contact regarding tickets to Informatica vendor for software product or functionality issues.
- Performs other related duties as required.


Qualifications
Essential skills and experiences:

- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of related work experience.
- Strong proficiency in SQL programming, query writing, query performance tuning, and database technologies.
- Firm understanding of ETL.
- Good knowledge of MDM (Master data management) Tools.
- Working knowledge of AD authentication models and LDAP integration to MDM systems.
- Experience and knowledge on Azure Cloud essential and infrastructure concepts.
- Proven performance tuning, troubleshooting and issues resolution skills.


Beneficial skills (nice to have):

- Firm understanding of IDQ, Data consolidation, Data Quality, Data Enrichment (D&B), Data Security, Data Governance and Data Harmonization concepts, practices and their implementation.
- Hands on experience with PowerCenter v9.x/v10x software administration.
- Experience with installation of Informatica MDM software in an Azure/AWS and Linux environment, and with administration of Informatica IDE/IDQ toolset.
- Working knowledge of the Informatica software security model and adaptability.
