Daily routines:
• Ensures the team provides excellent service and continually strives to exceed expectations
• Leads, develops and supports the colleagues in the team
• Coaches staff in customer service to achieve guest satisfaction goals
• Maintains positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationship
• Ensures that service and other standards are adhered to
• Ensures the team is continually trained in product knowledge, all hotel facilities and activities. oversees staff training and carries out on-the-job training where required
• Conducts regular and thorough inspections of rooms and public areas, ensuring standards of cleanliness is maintained at all times
• Oversees the cleanliness of back of the house areas, including employee areas
• Maintains positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationship
• Ensures the team works in a supportive and flexible manner with other departments
• Ensures that the highest possible standard of personal hygiene, dress, appearance and conduct are met
• Responds to changes in the housekeeping and laundry functions as dictated by the industry, company and hotel
What we expect from you:
• Supervisory experience in the Housekeeping & Laundry operations
• Service and guest satisfaction-oriented personality
• Knowledge of room and public area cleaning, laundry services and inventory control
• Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leadership skills, effective communication, and effectiveness in providing exceptional customer service
• Ability to operate computer equipment and other hotel computer systems
• Fluent local language
• Hospitality degree and/or other relevant certificate or degree will be an advantage
• Good command of English is an advantage for this role
