Financial Data Analyst

As a financial data analyst, you are imperative for the analysis department of a business. You are responsible for analyzing financial statements. This may include revenues and expenditures, as well as modelling capital structure and budgeting. Analyzing our company’s performance, alongside changes and market trends which will allow us to calculate variances between those forecasts and actuals.

Your duties and responsibilities will include the following:

• Reporting, and operational metrics tracking


• Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support


• Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews


• Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements


• Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans


• Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses


• Study proposed changes in methods and materials


• Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards


• Perform market research, data mining, business intelligence, and valuation comps


• Maintain a strong financial analysis foundation creating forecasts and models

• Have an excellent spoken and written level of English


• Proficiency in Excel


• Knowledge of SQL, Power BI is a must


• Knowledge/experience in math's, statistics, economics or finance


• Goal oriented and ambitious with a drive to succeed


• Able to work under pressure in a fast-moving and volatile market
