FINANCIAL CONTROLLER

Peltina Ltd has an exciting opportunity for a Financial Controller to join the team in Sofia and lead the finance function for the company. Working closely with our team of Executives, the Financial Controller will be responsible to lay the financial foundation for their next phase of growth. This is a varied and hands-on-role and Financial Controller will be an integral part of the team to ensure timely execution of all required management reports and analysis.
Responsibilities:
• Work in conjunction with all department heads to ensure maximum profitability
• Provide critical assessment of all budgets and cost projections
• Assess all incoming products, resources, and services to ensure the best price
• Maintain vendor and service provider relationships
• Remain acutely aware of market trends that could impact resource costs
• Keep up to date on new vendors and possible cost-cutting partnerships
• Analyse invoices to ensure correct products/services were received at the expected cost
• Collaborate with department heads to strategize ways to minimize waste
• Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the interdependency of cost drivers
• Understand the entire arc of the business and how productivity impacts profitability
• Commit to maximizing efficiency at all levels without compromising quality
• Develop and implement proactive solutions and cost-cutting measures
• Present new strategies and assessments to stakeholders in a compelling fashion
• Educate and persuade stakeholders to procure buy-in and cooperation
• Roll out clear cost-saving programs with timelines and assessment goals
• Prepare monthly Forecast and weekly Cash Planning
Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in finance or relevant field strongly preferred
• Minimum 5 years' experience working in cost control
• Eager to learn
• Ability to work and adapt in an international holding company
• Bilingual (English) + (Bulgarian)
• Experience working in and/or exposure to Macedonia will be considered as an advantage
• Sensibility for agriculture and/or food processing
• Able to develop strong, cooperative relationships with department heads
• Creative thinking skills and ability to solve problems
