Data engineer in Central Data Directorate

Role and Responsibilities:

The main role of the position is development of the output in cloud base platform.

We are looking for someone who will: 

• Participate in design and implementation of data delivery and data processing;


• Build a high-quality data environment, which is being developed on a cloud platform (AWS) with platform-specific tools and technologies;


• Configuration of Meta data description plus anonymization rules;


• Development of the output  (Python and Spark and SQL);


• Codes deployment by managing the ELT framework to transform and transport data within the various data layers on the data platform in the cloud;


• Responsible for the testing and qualitative delivery of data components as well as convertation of business requirements into technical specifications;


• Responsible for the technical optimizations of data feeds and follow-up of job-scheduling, release planning and knowledge transfer;


• Follow up of already existing data;


• Modelling database – logical model plus some AWS.

Key Requirements:

• University degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems or related field;


• Python, Spark and SQL knowledge is a must;


• Basic AWS knowledge, with a focus on data related services;


• Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets;


• Strong project management and organizational skills;


• Experience building and optimizing ‘big data’ pipelines, architectures and data sets;


• Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python;


• Experience with big data tools- Spark;


• Basic AWS knowledge, with a focus on data related services.
