Capitalization Analyst

Essential Duties:
- Ensure that the capitalization process is compliant with IAS 38, Intangible assets;
- Preparation of accounting assessments to demonstrate that the internally generated intangible assets meet all capitalization criteria;
- Review and assess the developers` roles and efforts to assess on the correct accounting treatment, considering the different stages of the development process;
- Responsible for the monthly calculation and reporting of the capitalisation, following the established process;
- Ensure that the implemented SOX controls regarding the capitalisation process are followed;
- Provide information and support the external audit process regarding the capitalisation;
- Assist in meeting external and internal reporting deadlines whilst maintaining the integrity of information;
- Review, assess and recommend improvements to capitalisation policy and procedures ensuring appropriate documentation is in place;
- Assist in the budgeting process
Your Profile:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
- Part-qualified ACCA or equivalent
- At least 2-3 years’ experience in an audit or commercial environment
- Excellent advanced Excel skills, MS office
- Fluent English is essential
- Strong IFRS knowledge
- Can-do positive mindset
- Hands-on, proactive, takes initiative in problems solving and is able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Close attention to detail and an independent manner of working is essential
- An excellent team player with the ability to build strong relationships, working across functions and with teams around the globe.
- Ability to understand end to end processes, identify improvement & simplification opportunities and design and implement standardized solutions.
