As a product company, we have over 10 000 users, essentially shipbrokers, operators, owners, charterers, research firms and financial institutions. AXSMarine provides chartering solutions for all shipping business segments – Dry Bulk, Tanker, Gas, Liner and Offshore.

Our office in Sofia was opened in 2011 and since then most of our IT, Data and Business teams are located here. Our team is growing, and we want to reinforce our global positioning. We are therefore now looking to hire a person to endorse the role of:

SENIOR DATA SCIENTIST

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Implement an innovative solution to meet the technical needs of our business


• Create machine learning, deep learning and NLP/NER models as required


• Be involved in the implementation of models in production of ML models and monitoring


• Provide domain expertise and disseminate best practices in the processing and application of NLP within a multidisciplinary team of data scientists, machine learning specialists and software engineers


• Drafting of technical documents and communicating the results

REQUIREMENTS

• Strong Python programming ability


• Experience with all phases of the ML lifecycle, from ideation and experimentation to deployment in production environments


• Experience with a variety of problem domains, including: timeseries forecasting, NLP.


• Proficiency with a variety of data processing


• Ability to write complex SQL/ Elasticsearch queries


• You hold a master's degree/ 5+ years working as a Senior Data Scientist


• You are autonomous in solving problems and organizing your work


• You are comfortable with teamwork

TECHNICAL STACK

• Backend: Python, Flask


• DevOps: Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Gitlab CI


• Packages: Pandas, XGBoost, Tensorflow, Spacy, Scikit-Learn, NLTK
