We are looking for Business Consultant in the Analytics & Trading Client Services team – an individual who is enthusiastic, intellectually curious and takes pride in the work they do. We offer the opportunity to become a subject matter expert in the FactSet Core products focused on Performance Measurement and Attribution software solutions by bridging the gap between investment and software professionals. The role requires collaborative partnership with various of stakeholders including client representatives, sales, product specialists and engineers.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Develop and maintain up-to-date knowledge of the asset management industry, current market trends and economic factors for maintaining a competitive edge over the execution and delivery of creative solutions & strategies.
- Execution of project-based activities including implementations, consultancy and solution optimizations by obtaining a good grasp of the product functionalities and methodologies as well as industry-specific principles and best practices. Close collaboration with middle and front office of our clients – institutional asset managers, wealth managers and asset owners.
- Analyze and solve complex business issues related to clients’ investment portfolios, financial data & analytics, and workflows.
- Ability to understand and gather requirements for client-specific business needs in an efficient manner.
- Assist and support the smooth execution of clients’ production processes and workflows.
- Build and maintain strong relationship with stakeholders through effective communication and ethical attitude.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (i.e. Engineering, Sales, Strategy) in order to contribute to product enhancements and features.
Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- University degree in Finance, Economics or related industry discipline
- Knowledge of financial products and instruments
- Proficiency in Excel and financial formulas
- Desire to work directly with investment professionals
- Fluent English verbal and excellent written communication skills
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong sense of initiative, team player
Beneficial, but not mandatory, Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Financial background in the Asset Management industry
- Genuine interest in capital markets and portfolio management
- Experience with Performance Measurement and/or Attribution
- Participation in the CFA Program
- 1 to 3 years of relevant working experience would be considered as plus
- Interest and affinity to work with software, data and analytics
- Speaking other languages than English, e.g. German, French
